What is the FIRO Questionnaire?
FIRO is a self-knowledge tool designed as a questionnaire that helps you increase your understanding of yourself, your needs, your motivations and behavior, which are mainly responsible for the quality of your interpersonal relationships.
It is based on Will Schutz’s theories. Schutz concluded that every person has social needs that are as important for our health and well-being, as other basic needs like food or water. This is why we need to know them and satisfy them as much as possible.

How to complete and assess the FIRO Questionnaire?
Before answering the questionnaire
We recommend that you don’t do research on this tool beyond the information provided here, with the sole objective that, should you decide to complete the FIRO, your answers are not biased or influenced by what you may have read in more or less reliable sources.
If you have any questions or want to know more about it, you can contact us with no obligation and we’ll be glad to answer your questions so that it does not influence your results if you finally decide to do it.
Answering the questionnaire
When you confirm your wish to complete the questionnaire, an e-mail will be sent with a link to it.
The FIRO is divided in 54 questions. You’ll have to score from 1 to 6 different statements about the way you usually interact with people.
It is important to note that there are no right or wrong answers since it does not measure skills or abilities. Although the questionnaire is built according to the Guttman scale, with questions that are very similar to each other, we recommend that you answer the questionnaire following what first comes to your mind. Answering this questionnaire will take between 15 and 20 minutes.
Self-assessment and obtaining your FIRO scores
In the first part of the feedback session, a self-assessment is completed for each of the needs covered by the FIRO questionnaire.
This self-assessment describes each need in depth, with examples of different behaviour for each, and uses multiple open-ended questions to explore them.
In the second part of the session, the obtained scores are shown and we’ll explore each of them and compare the predictions we made with the scores obtained.

Analysis of your development opportunities, guidance to your goal and delivery of your personalized report
Finally, we will review and analyze the scores obtained for each interpersonal need, and talk about the different connections between them, how they tend to manifest themselves and how you can work on them.
In the event that the FIRO is part of a Coaching Program with an established objective, the questionnaire’s result will be focused on that goal.
Finally, we’ll hand out a personalized report with all the information about your FIRO scores.
How much does it cost to complete and assess your FIRO Questionnaire?
Complete and obtain your FIRO results, along with your opportunities’ analysis and your personalized report, at the incredible price of 280€ + VAT.
This price includes:
Sending the questionnaire.
Self-assessment and obtaining your FIRO scores (approx. 2 hours).
Goal orientation and delivery of your personalized FIRO report (approx. 1 hour).
The price is totally fixed, but the final number of sessions and their duration is approximate and depends on your specific case, your situation, your availability, the difficulty to assess your needs, and your interest in the construction, development and feasibility of the tool.
